Control does not have to just focus on Media, Door Access and Telephone control. Other areas of control around the house are equally important to provide comfort, security and independence. This section provides a few examples of how an environmental control system installed by RSLSteeper can improve people’s lives.
Most electronically adjustable chairs and beds can be operated with an environmental control device. The control interface has been designed with safety in mind by allowing movement in small increments. This interface allows for dual control by staff or family, using the original handset and by the user, with the environmental control unit.
The pager from RSLSteeper provides the user with access to a member of staff, family member or carer at the touch of a button. It can be used as part of their environmental control device, or as a stand alone paging unit via a switch. The small and discrete pager will sound an alert and the unit will vibrate.
Using mains control sockets allows all mains powered domestic appliances to be switched on and off remotely. Lamps and fans can be operated remotely via the controllable Radio and Infra-Red sockets. When entering a room you can turn the sockets on in advance, so that you enter a lit room, without the worry of trips or falls in the dark. The mains control sockets can also be taken with you where ever you may be going as they are very portable.
RSLSteeper offers a system to provide full environmental control of your interior room lighting including mains attached lamps. By using Infra-Red control whilst in the room or via Radio control which will work from outside the room RSLSteeper can provide complete choice and freedom.
